Feedback and concerns
Complaints procedure
The practice takes concerns seriously and aims to address them promptly, confidentially and fairly.
How to make a complaint
Speak to the practice
Raise the concern with your treating dentist, reception or the practice manager. Many issues can be addressed quickly through a conversation.
Write to the practice manager
Write to Practice Manager, 4 Great Stuart Street, Edinburgh EH3 6AW, or email info@4greatstuartstreet.com.
Include the useful details
Give your name and contact details, relevant dates, a clear description, staff names if known, and the outcome you are seeking. Avoid sending more medical information than needed by ordinary email.
The practice responds
The published procedure aims to acknowledge written complaints within 3 working days and provide a full response within 20 working days. If an investigation needs longer, the practice says it will keep you informed.
External help
NHS treatment complaints
The Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS) provides independent information and support for NHS complaints in Scotland.
Unresolved NHS complaints
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman considers eligible complaints after the NHS complaints process has been completed.
Concerns about a dental professional
The General Dental Council explains when a concern may relate to a dental professional’s fitness to practise. It is not a general complaints-resolution service.
This page preserves the practice’s published procedure in clearer form. Response targets and external routes should be confirmed by the practice before production-domain launch.
Want to give general feedback instead?
Use the feedback form for a comment or compliment. Use this complaints route when you want a concern handled formally.
